December milestones -

Pete---
6 months
first meet'n'greet with Santa (which he aced!!!)
starting to sit up with minimal support
first sit up bath time!!
starting to shave off one nap
Mommy---
finally getting the hang of the little boy
juggling two boys
enjoying the wee morning hours with Pete
Daddy---
mastering the shifts between day/night work at the hospital
obsessing over the little boy
continually pampering the mama(she's so lucky)
finally playing his dream game (pirates+assasins)

 Pete's favorite person.
Our super talented neighbor Geri snapped some shots of our family..which just remind me how unbelievable dreamy my fam is!! I love you guys. Never really thought I'd be outnumbered by boys in every family but so far it's true.

Pete was such a good sport for pics - despite the frigid temperature outside.

Happy Birthday to me

I had a lovely birthday this year...completely nausia free...whoop whoop! P had a good night the night before so I figure that was his sweet effort to make me feel loved. With cous Cadey - one month younger.

They kind of make me laugh. She's into the world around her and he's into figuring out girls...

 Grandma Ba!!!
Lovely surprizes for my bday and P helped me pull the wrapping off. This was by far the best part. Not to mention my extra special hair.

Happy Halloween

We stayed kind of mellow this year. We went to Halloween dinner at the Bartholomew's..tradition with jack-o-lantern burgers etc. One of these years I will take pictures...P and I went to a fam Halloween party (pics to come) as a cop and robber. On Halloween we hung out at home then walked around a nearby neighborhood in our pirate sweats. It was kind of fun watching the trick-or-treaters.

Baby E turns 1

I took similar pictures of E when she was a newborn (may be added later when I find them). She is such a cute little girl and always loves to be included in what everyone else is doing. I remember holding her in the hospital when she was just about 5 lb! Gerber baby celebrity??!!

4 months (close enough)

Pete - four months (sort of). He's never been a monster, but sometimes a sad little puppy which I cannot stand. We strive for happy every day and I'm glad to report we usually get it at some point in that awake 12-hour period. I love, love him. I'm so happy I have him and I'd be heartbroken to ever lose him - coming from the hardest week I've had yet.

He's getting pretty good at tummy time if his belly isn't crazy full.
For a few toys I never though I'd buy or need - wow - new loves. The sitting toy, and the music box that lights up. Both are really nice and give Peter something different to do other than play charades with mommy on the couch or floor.
 Practicing monster faces.

goodbye summer

One of my many dashy looks before church.

When momma is to tired to put me in bed for a nap, I get a custom shaped bed.
This is what I think of the little black rain cloud-turned bumble bee.

Court Carnival

Our court had a fun carnival..I guess prepping everyone for the back-to-school drag. Peter was totally thrilled as seen in this pic. Thanks to our awesome RA's for putting together something so fun.

Pete's stats - 100 percentile for head circumference and 90th for height. Woooeee. Good job fam! It's been an all around effort by Daddy, Mommy and Pete to get there. I'm really just proud that he is growing period. Yeah for having a healthy boy and being so blessed.

my loves

I never get sick of loving my boys. I didn't know what U2 looked like so I rented a concert to kind of watch/listen to while I did some computer stuff. I guess I don't need to bother with goodnight lullabies.

N & E

I love these two kids! Special connection with little 'E' whom I walked miles with her before she popped out. N was such a great sport and super cooperative which makes taking pics so much fun.

Welcome Pete:D

Dear World, welcome to our sweet little boy!! D and I have thoroughly enjoyed spending time with our own little family. The time has flown by so I've tried my best to take pictures periodically. I'm trying to juggle documenting our family life, while still enjoying the camera free time.

So far Pete has been a great sport to travel with us just about everywhere. We've been to the zoo, swimming, Red Butte Gardens, numerous neighborhood walks, both Grandma's houses, the library and visiting with friends/family. Having a summer baby has been really nice as I have found taking lots of walks helps me to figure out what on earth I'm doing and keeping me sane with these crazy changes. I have been in love with the baby bjorn...have a good carrier, will travel! It's been such a big life saver.
4th of July, sporting auntie Kon's snazzy flag onsie.
First jogger ride with Daddy, and thankfully he's really starting to like it a lot more. We are the biggest lovers of the a good jogger. It rides so smooth, is high enough for Darren and handles the bumps in the roads so well.

 Pete perfecting his morning smiles.
Helping Daddy finish his birthday puzzle - Captain Hook's face:D
First swim with the Meeks - Not a fan but we are working on it.
Discovering look. I LOVE that he is noticing things all around him now. I'm also very proud of the bulging full belly and the limbs that are chunking up:D He's a really good eater!
