best birthday

Birthday are always really fun for me, but this year has definitely topped all others.

My sweet hubbie made me a delectable Black Forest Cake, which I was able to eat!!!!

 Having a fall season and a birthday to enjoy without school or studying!!!!!

 My little bro came home from a mission, and has been so much fun to hang with.

 Best belated gift....a heart beat:D

Baby E @ three weeks. I can't say a whole lot for apartment lighting, but they still turned out really well!!! She's such a sweet baby addition to her family:D

Sherlock meets his match

One of my chums is posing as Sherlock this year for Halloween. She has the amazing talent of finding the BEST things online.....Sadly I didn't get a shot of the fitted jacket underneath her coat or the crazy polka dot lining of it.

Pretty cool look-alike as far as changing gender goes:D

Part 2: Finished!

Here's the finished product! I had a hard time trying to mix the aqua colors and some of the other colors are a bit different. For the background I used a few stamps I had to make it look cleaner. I'm happy how it turned out, even though I wish you could see more of the wallpaper. 

Project Part 1

 I have always wanted this from Dland.....but I have wanted to make my own even more. Scoring a cool box is a different project for another day.

 I found some carvable clay that you can bake at home. I'm a fan of Sculpey clay. It's easy to work with and easy to bake. I started out with drawing out some rough patterns for sizing purposes, which was the best idea. I was lucky enough to find a shadowbox frame that fit the patterns I had already drawn up.

 About two days later......

Here they are spaced out to see how they would fit in the frame. The background will resemble some evil eye wallpaper from the original. I love how they turned out! Only letter I still need to tweak is the 'M'. 

Next step painting!!

New Zoo Exhibit

For an assignment in one of my past photo classes, we were asked to visit the zoo. Fast forward a few years and the zoo has improved so many exhibits! Photographers will have a hay-day with the new Rocky Shores Section!!!
