Memorial Day

I finally got some pictures of fun days from the past few months. I don't even think I need to tell anyone where we went for the pic below. AHHHH I love her vocal chords and she is an amazing performer! I heart Celine.

I don't think I posted any but I finally got a hold of missionary send off pics of my little (well just younger) bro Pache. Ah I miss him but we had a a fun time talking on Mother's Day. Things are going so well for him and I couldn't be happier. He's such a bright kiddo...he'll accomplish loads before he is back..(One year in September but whose keeping track:)).

Happy Memorial Day. I really enjoyed visiting graves and decking them out with flora. Grandpa wasn't to extatic to be reminded that his name is on his tombstone next my grandma's. He isn't dead yet and we tried to get him to lay down beside it on the grass for a picture...it would have been hilarious but he didn't think so.  I love you Gramps! He's the biggest fan and supporter of my longer hair....keeps me from trimming it all off.

Chalk Art

This week I participated in the chalk art festival up in Bountiful. It's a really fun community event and everyone is welcome to it. I've done it in past years, but had to  miss last year. I chose to jazz up a portion of a Norman Rockwell painting. I didn't have any great ideas or photos I was extatic about so I tried one of my favorite paintings instead.

They supply the pastels you work with and the colors are all really intense...not to mention drawing on cement is really difficult because it doesn't hold chalk for very long or very well. My fingers definitely went through an exfoliating process the entire time. My cute friend Fil came up with me on our lunch time break (during work) to help me finish and touch up some parts of it. Thank you FiL!!! I had to laugh that someone did a Candy Mountain piece.....you either love it or you hate it.

Spring.......

Mother/daughter tradition: going to the Tulip Festival around Mother's Day.:D She claims we are two of her biggest blessings  (even though she is skeptical when we do something really dumb). I loved Thanksgiving point, over all just a great place to run around, cut across large patches of grass and look through painted flowers. :D

Sorority Sistas

I just realized today that we acknowledge two ends of each year. Once at Christmas time/New Years and once in the spring. I find that a little odd.

In responce to the 'first' end of the year we document things such as successful sororities. (My apologies to the bride and groom of which we were most likely in the background of 90% of their photos) Yeah for Tau, a great bunch of cute girls. Location -the Square of the Temple (and surrounding grass spots;))

Oh Canada...

School is done. C'est la vie. On to bigger and  better things....travel:D My mom and I scooted up to Canada this past weekend for a race in Vancouver. The pics are a little out of order, but you get the idea. I'm so proud of my madre, she did really well and is currently on her 50+ marathon!~~~

This pic of  the welcome sign coming back to the U.S. (we drove from Seattle)
What do canadiens love??? Hm. I wonder.
Way to be upbeat mom!!
Perfect evenings always end in strawberry shakes.

Right before the border crossing into Canada.
