Don't cross the Queen of Hearts

This idea popped into my head today during class. I have been working on some Alice in Wonderland illustrations and I painted one today. It's about a 10'' square and still very wet, hence the shine. More to follow..........

There's a bright golden haze on the meadow.....

Here's what I have been up to over the past few weeks...Thank you Taylor! I originally had the idea to have Tay bring his 'Didge'(?sp?) along for a shoot. I lucked out with an amazingly clear day and NO clouds (don't get me wrong I love clouds).  Yes, we are in Salt Lake City. Groovy Huh? 

I must add that my anticipation for fall is above and beyond at the moment. Today it poured and I had my first taste of 'cold' weather since about April. It felt amazing to be cold and bundle up. Out came the sweatpants and the slippers. As spazy as the weather may be here, I ended up enjoying a little bike ride around Holladay. I can't wait for the leaves to change.
